Our Impact
Set to operate by 2025, this state-of-the-art refrigerated storage facility will bring 60 high-paying jobs to the region initially. The project, essential for local food distribution, is a significant step towards economic diversification for the county. The initiative reflects a long-term investment in Lake County by U.S. Cold Storage, a company with a 125-year history. The project is a result of a collaborative effort involving various county offices, with support from NIPSCO and the IEDC, funded by READI Grant funds from the State of Indiana.
